Yay!!

So, I have been trying and trying and trying to get back into jogging but I keep getting these darned shin splints. Ugh... I had this issue when I tried running back in high school too but then about 5 years back, I was able to run almost 3 miles per day for about a year with no shin splints until I began having issues with my IT-band. Shut down... So now, I have my foam roller for my IT-band issues and I have discovered that I need to start off with a shuffle like action when I jog so that I land flat on my foot instead of on my heel and rolling forward. So yesterday I tried the shuffling (which is so slow that I feel like I am doing one of those race walks) and no shin pain! Such good news. I have been wanting to get back into jogging for so long now and I kept being shut down by one thing or another. I am determined to make it this time for the sake of my thighs and all blubbery that is popping up on my body. So here's hoping!!

good for you dued! bryan and i have started walking around our neighborhood. we drove it once and it's almost 3 miles. we're trying really hard to do it every weekday, but it doesn't always work out. i'm starting to have issues on my foot though. it's kind of like a bunion, but on the outside of my foot. i think i need an xray or something. it feels like i dropped something heavy on my foot and bruised it or something.
