My Stupid Feet
I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. to see my podiatrist. Yes, I have a podiatrist, cause I am old. Thanks to my stupidity, I have ruined my feet and have been dealing with it for the past year and a half. No more can I wear the beautiful high heeled shoes with wild abandon. Nope, it's flats with wide and high toe boxes....or at least that is the recommended shoe. High toe box?? Um NO! Thank you. I can handle wide but high is pushing it - that is orthopedic CENTRAL. Anyway, I have been on the search for perfect shoes ever since but the closest I can get are my Crocs, and I am not about to wear those to work with my business casual attire.
So I have not been to see the doctor in a while, almost a year, but my feet are hurting and I have new insurance because I have a new job since the last time I went in and therefore, I have three free injections to be had! I have Morton's Neuroma - look it up...it's the stupidest malady ever, and I got it! In both feet!! The injections are supposed to dry out and break down the inflamed tissue...it seems to work a little bit. You have to go back on a set schedule to get more injections, up to about 9 injections. 60% success rate.
A couple of months ago I fell off of my sandal (and broke the sandal in the process) injuring my neuroma even more. What an idiot am I... So happy day, I get a lovely injection tomorrow and they feel wonderful!
I miss my silly heels but it is nice to actually have a good reason to wear and buy comfy shoes.

I totally recommend Clark's or Sofft shoes (Sofft are actually cute) they have them at Zappos.com or the Walking Company at the Galleria.
